The surfaces of strip floors are divided into equal slats and are available in wide and narrow formats. The pattern runs in the same direction, visually expanding the size of the room, which makes it an ideal option for smaller rooms. They are a great replacement for carpets and can add value and character to any house.
Strip floors are found in many modern offices and commercial establishments also as they not only visually expand the interior but are also long-lasting.
Strip floors are available in different widths, thicknesses and finishes to suit your requirements, tastes and budget. They are obtainable in different materials and can be expertly fitted by our trained installers.
Engineered wood flooring is constructed of three pieces of wood, which include a hardwood layer on top, with the three glued together very firmly. The top layer is responsible for the appearance of the floor surface and is usually about 2 - 6 mm thick, while the middle layer adds strength and the bottom layer balances it all out.
This structure means an engineered floor can be installed as a floating floor on top of any kind of subfloor and is the easiest way to install a floor. Oak and Walnut are the two popular wood species but we do carry a wide variety including ash, beech, cherry and maple which offer different looks, shades and tones.
